    I.M. Systems Group, Inc. (IMSG) www.imsg.com, a science and technical company supporting the U.S. Federal Government, is currently seeking to hire a Systems Administrator for our corporate office in Rockville, Maryland. This position is responsible for the technical design, planning, implementation, performance tuning, and recovery procedures for all corporate, private and public cloud systems. The successful candidate will serve as a technical expert for the administration of complex networks, systems and services as well as investigate and analyze the feasibility of system/services requirements and develop system and services specifications. In addition, the candidate will manage testing and disaster recovery environments for critical applications / processes. The candidate will also ensure uptime SLAs. The successful candidate should function as a mentor for junior members of the team.

    Responsibilities

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Research and develop new system solutions that improve company technical processes.
    • Partner with management to implement new systems, services and environments.
    • Develop documentation for new systems/services and provide training for other Technical Operations members.
    • Define scope of work for new and existing products.
    • Ownership of monitoring local/remote systems and environments, proactively monitoring while working to eliminate false positives.
    • Determine the escalation process when working with vendors or other outside resources.
    • Ensure that services SLAs are being met.
    • Ensure preventative security measures to maintain PCI-DSS 3.2 & ISO 27001 & ISO 20000 compliance.
    • Engage in security incident analysis, reporting and remediation.
    • Continuous improvement of systems/services and the development of standard practices and procedures.
    • Function as an integral member of a team, provide technical expertise and suggest solutions to systems, services, private/public cloud issues.
    • Establish/maintain best practices and procedures for patch management, virus management, operating system upgrades and cloud services.
    • Install new Infrastructure software releases, system upgrades, evaluate and install patches, and resolve software related problems.
    • Participate in after-hours call coverage shared by team.
    • Proactively evaluate user support issues and identify areas requiring training.
    • Assist users with needs analysis, evaluation of their information requirements, and maintaining and troubleshooting desktop software.
    • Conduct hardware and software analysis and contribute to application and systems software development and support.
    • Provide support for other Technologies Operations Department staff and assist with the management of projects.
    • Administer Microsoft servers, on premises and in the cloud.  (Exchange, SharePoint)
    • Administer Domain Controllers and Active Directory.
    • Administer SQLServer, IIS, MS Exchange, MS Exchange, and related applications.
    • Administer VMware server-level virtualization.

    Qualifications

    MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
    Five or more years of recent professional related experience in system administration, network/firewall administration, network/systems troubleshooting, AWS or Azure Cloud design/troubleshooting, or any equivalent combination of education, experience, and training that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.

    Desired:

    MCSE/MCSA Infrastructure, MCSE/MCSA Cloud Platform, CCNE/CCNA Routing/Firewall, CCNE/CCNA Switching, AWS Professional Certification

    5 years managing Windows Server 2008 r2, Windows 2012 R2, or Windows Server 2016, Exchange 2013 or Exchange 2016

    5 years managing a VMware VSphere environment
