    I.M. Systems Group, Inc. (IMSG), www.imsg.com (http://www.imsg.com/), a Federal Government Contractor, is seeking candidates to support NOAA’s Pacific Marine Environmental Laboratory (PMEL), and the Center for Tsunami Research in Seattle, WA. The successful candidate will focus on marine modeling and data analysis, with specific topics including, but not limited to, forecasting and modeling tsunamis, Bering Sea modeling, and developing models of ocean CO2 uptake. 




    B.S./B.A or equivalent relevant experience in Atmospheric Science, Oceanography, Computer Science, Ocean/Coastal Engineering, or other related physical or mathematical sciences with several years of experience in the area of numerical modeling, ocean modeling, or other marine topics.


    Knowledge, Skills and Requirements:


    • Modeling experience that relates to tsunamis, ocean currents, or other marine topics.
    • Experience with developing and running complex models, processing large volumes of numerical data, as well as using advanced statistical analysis tools.
    • Knowledge of computer languages and familiarity working with shell scripts (e.g. Python, FORTRAN, C++) in UNIX environment.
    • Demonstrated ability to work efficiently in a team environment and communicate effectively using good oral and written communication skills.
